Well you might get your wish. Hot of the press from the Maryland 247 site:

quote:

I'm hearing Dan Enos is a top candidate to replace Arkansas offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, who's expected to leave for the same job at TCU. It won't be surprising if he's offered and accepts job, multiple sources said.

Enos, who's spent the past two years as Maryland's offensive coordinator, has ties to Arkansas, having served as the Razorbacks offensive coordinator from 2015-17. It's not surprising they like him there; Arkansas averaged more than 35 points per game in his first year, ranking second in the SEC, and was one of two FBS programs with a 3,000-yard passer and 1,300-yard rusher in both 2015 and 2016, with different players at each of those positions in each season.

At Maryland, Enos has guided a powerful offense led by star quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. In his first year, Maryland set single-season program records for total yards (5,740), passing yards (3,960), completions (339) and completion percentage (69.3%) in 2021. This year, they ranked fifth in the Big Ten in points per game (28.2) and fourth in yards per game (401.2) fourth in offensive efficiency (141.5). Also Maryland's quarterbacks coach, Enos has also tutored Tagovailoa, who set seven single-season Maryland records in 2021, including passing yards (3,860), completions (328), completion percentage (69.2) and passing touchdowns (26). Enos has also been a piece of Maryland's strong recruiting efforts during the past two seasons. But his play calls have frustrated fans, and seemingly Mike Locksley, at times.

I'm told by multiple sources that Enos is likely to be receptive to an offer. He also overlapped with Arkansas coach Sam Pittman during that 2015 season, so there is a relationship.

It's unclear how high Enos sits on Pittman's list, but there's chatter that he'll be in the mix for the job. It's possible one of the other candidates ranks higher on Pittman's list and will scoop the job first, but this is worth keeping close tabs on. Obviously, it would be a major development if he were to leave, given how crucial the offensive coordinator job is, Maryland's recent resergence and Tagovailoa's return.

For the record, I don’t think it’s Enos. This reads to me like a bunch of folk in Maryland saw him on Trey’s hot board and know he’d leave for an SEC job so they’re running with it.
