2nd in sac bunts, who bunts now a days?

guys who hit below the mendozza line. LSU had 23 sacrifice bunts and our opponents had 22. That's about 1 every 3 games, on average. Not really seeing what you're trying to show here. And that was the only way Jay tried to manufacture runs, and, for the most part, did that with guys he didn't trust to have productive at bats. We barely tried to steal (29 attempts all season as a team) and rarely ever called hit and runs. His offensive approach is a lot like Bertman's was, let your hitters hit. Mainieri is the one who got cute all the time with that.

Let me ask LSU fans this, what is expected this year and if you do get there, is it underachieving?

Omaha at a minimum with the team LSU has this year.

Last year LSU flat out had no pitching. Hilliard was the only staple in the rotation and wouldn't have been in the rotation on most LSU teams. He hadn't been in the rotation since 2018, and that was due to injuries on the staff. Johnson had to put together wholestaff games 2 out of every 3 on the weekend. We were basically screwed if we ever got in the losers bracket in postseason play.
