That’s a popular theory over here. Doesn’t hold water though. Our best years came with the most helicopter big boosters.

Texas’ failures have come when the University administration gets involved & when their ADept turned into a mini Capitol Hill/D.C..

Poor coaching hires/budgets, focus on revenue without reinvesting into the program & a delusional attempt to become Stanford.

Texas is not an oil money program either, the University & it’s PUF/AUF is but that’s unrelated to athletics.
