There was helmet to helmet contact although he legit with shoulder first but they were obviously told to not keep a targeting unless it worst ever as they did exact same shite in the other game. I would no even worry about it target Dugan on first play, they will not call it anyway

Targeting is not what refs should have looked for It was a personal foul penalty on a defense less receiver

Personal foul for what?

He made a perfectly legal, textbook hit to prevent a TD.

So you want him penalized for…playing football well????

Throwing late over the middle gets receivers laid out.

Targeting has ruined football. You are supposed to target the person with the ball and hit them as hard as you can to cause a fumble or incompletion. Taking the helmet hits out of the game is like saying boxers can no longer punch people in the face because of long term brain damage.

Sign a waiver or quit playing.

Yep and that is on the QB. Every game is like a Texas High school game now where nobody plays defense. I don't like games with the score in the 40's and 50's. This is not basketball.

If you are holding a ball, you aren’t defenseless. Don’t catch it if you don’t want to get hit.

Impact was to the shoulder. The force of the impact and/or the ground probably caused a concussion.

Not targeting or defenseless player.

If we care about player safety and reducing concussions that has to be a foul. That type of launching with no attempt to tackle is going to have to be legislated out of the game if we want the sport to exist.in some form

A player in the act of catching a pass is considered defenseless. But, it's not against the rules to hit a defenseless player cleanly. So, agreed that it isn't targeting.

He got knocked the frick out. Saw Bullard coming and dropped the ball before he was touched.

Stroud threw it up like a punt and his best WR paid the price.

If the ball touches your fingers, you’re fair game. It wasn’t a blindside hit from the backside, he was coming at him straight on. That’s the only way you can hit someone to ensure the football isn’t caught. Impact was at the shoulder, not the head.

No head to head
Not blind side from the back
Ball touches fingers
Shoulder to shoulder

The only thing you don’t like is the g force impact. Sorry, but you don’t get to tell a player they should slow down and grab someone instead of hitting them. The way he hit him was the only clean way to prevent the pass from being caught.

If that’s what you see after I slowed it down that much, then you need to make an eye doctor appointment.

It wasn't targeting but your

is completely irrelevant. Not sure why you keep repeating it.

It was contact to the head/neck area of a defenseless player that resulted in an injury. Literally the kind of play the penalty was designed to discourage. All-time bad call

It’s relevant because it means you are now free to be hit.
