No I didn’t. I said he gets the nod as the #2 guy right now due to seniority.

the hell are you talking about #2? You said:

quote:

all 3 are about equal but Beck gets the nod due to seniority

You literally said beck would get the nod [to start 2023, which is the entire point of the topic we're in] due to seniority. As in, will start.

He already did this in 2020. Granted it was a poor decision.

Jamie Newman was a seasoned vet that was supposed to start then he quit. JT Daniels was a portal transfer with experience that was tyhen supposed to start but was hurt. Our only other options were a highly touted and "higher ceiling" guy and a career backup walkon with 20 career completions all in mopup duty. Hindsight is 20/20 but going with mathis wasn't a terrible take at the time.

In 2016 it was obvious eason would be better but we started Lambert. In 2018 we could argue all day about fields but fromm was the starter. In 2021 daniels started over bennett.

For kirby to start anyone OTHER than beck in 2023 it would be completely out of character.

Why is this hard for you to understand? I said I know someone who currently works for the football team who says they’re all equal right now but Beck gets (as in present tense) the nod at backup because he has seniority.

I never made any prediction on who starts next year. I’d probably give them all equal chances from what I’ve heard.

I disagree. Monken wants mobility.
Beck could lose the job solely because of that.
