Those days are gone. Chants of SEC - gone. I will be pulling against all of you and don't feel bad about it, because I know you will be doing the same. Time was when we would pull for each other, well, except for The Aggies.

What changed?

I still do. The SEC wasn't as dominant back then and the media was biased for B10/Pac10/Pac12 blue bloods at the time. Auburn was left out of the BCS title. After that, Ohio State lost 2 BCS title games in a row to the SEC. At the end of the second lost title to LSU, the entire LSU team went to the booth and started chanting SEC - it was a GOATED moment.

GOATED LSU SEC Chant

The SEC chant is awesome for the conference whether we do it or the other team because it shows we're just a different level. You would never chant "PAC - Ten" because everyone knows they stink - it means something to every team that beats an SEC team. Continuing it helps league perception so I hope we never stop... plus it rustles jimmies.
