It showed up against Oregon and LSU (pretty talented teams by the composite). It also showed up against Tennessee.

A fair point but none of those teams listed have the talent and depth Ohio State has. Ohio state, Georgia, and Alabama are the only teams that have recruited in the nuclear levels the last 4 years. And honestly it’s a sizable gap between them and everyone else.

I personally don’t believe OSU wins but there probably isn’t a team that matches up with Georgia pound for pound in terms of individual talent than Ohio State does. UGA can 13 out of 14 games in a season rely on its superior talent alone. This is one of the only games they can’t.

I'd feel better if I thought the #1 and #2 running backs are going to play. #1 isn't for sure and I'm not sure about #2. I do agree that the key is having a semblence of a running game or at least requiring Georgia to spy Stroud but he just isn't going to run even if it is to take enough yards that are readily available to get a first down. It just isn't in his DNA. MHJR is going to have to have a monster day to afford Ohio State a solid shot at winning.

My point is that the Ohio state coaching staff uses crutches to play well.

And a team that needs a crutch to play good football gets that crutch knocked out from underneath by Georgia.

It is actually very similar to playing a Grantham led defense (that tries to control the line of scrimmage and opposing run game with numbers).
It may look familiar to you on new years eve.
