As for the way corporate models want to sell subscriptions (while still mining your data for free AND selling ads) is both fraudulent AND criminal, something needs to be done to put control back in the hands of the citizens.
Buy a CD and you own it for as long as you like
Download music to your server farm (aka "cloud") and don't be surprised if it disappears if a license, subscription, or contract expires.
