Game managing, 2022 version of a GMAC career type of award vs an okay QB in a proven system.

The former gets recognition more than the latter

Bennett not even the best player on his team. Prolly not even the top 3 players in his own team. There’s a reason why Hooker was voted by the coaches and AP for 1st team SEC. I’ll take the coaches word in the SEC over some media members that don’t know shite. Bennett is simply a finalist because of the team he plays on. Bennet had 20TD’s to 6int while Hooker had 27 TD’s to 2 int.

Jalen Carter is easily the best player on the team.

Stetson and Darnell Washington are the 2 most impactful and most important players on offense each snap.

Best. Most valuable. Representative of the values of the Heisman.
That is 3 separate criteria. Stetson fits 2 or 3 for UGA and 2 of 3 for the Heisman.

Yes. Reporters like a qb throwing layups for 40+ yards with a defender 3 yards in trail. That is what a reporter would be attracted to. Half field read. Most often, only 1 read. They may as well give the ap votes to heupel.

Your TE Bowers may be the best player

The 4 finalists are so close

The best story is the walk-on and who personally would get my vote

Was Stetson a game manager in the 2021 post season?
How about the SECG?

Maybe we have different definitions of game manager. What do you remember of the 4th quarter in last seasons NCG?

Coaches All-SEC Team
1st team- Hooker
2nd team- Bennett

AP All SEC-
1st Team- Hooker
2nd Team- Young

SEC Offensive Player of the Year
Hooker

Bennett wasn’t even voted on the 1st team or even the best player in the SEC. But the National Media wants everyone to believe he's a top 4 players in the country. Come on now!!!
UGA still makes the playoffs rather Bennet is QB or not.
UT don’t win 10 games and have chance for playoffs without Hooker this year.

MVP of the 2021 natty, MVP of the 2022 SEC champ. Beat hooker on the field. Pretty easy choice

When was the last time the SEC POY didn’t make it to New York prior to this year.
SEC POY since 2010
22- Hooker(QB)- No invite
21- Young(QB)- Heisman winner
20- D. Smith(WR)- Heisman winner
19- Burrow(QB)- Heisman winner
18- Tua(QB)- 2nd place
17- Kerryon Johnson(RB)-No invite
16- Hurts(QB)- No invite
15- Henry (RB)- Heisman winner
14- Cooper(WR)- 3rd place
13- Mason (RB)- no invite
12- Manziel(QB)- Heisman winner
11- Richardson(RB)- 3rd place
10- Newton(QB)- Heisman winner

Been 1 QB to win SEC POY to not be a finalist since 2010 prior to this year. As you see the SEC POY is normally a good indication of one of the best players in the country.
End of the day Hooker is better than Bennet athletically. Issue Hooker has going against him is he isn’t surrounded by 5*s and this is only UT 2nd year under Heupel. If Hooker played for Bama or UGA he would had been a finalist if not won it.

Compare them side by side number wise in blind resume and take the name and schools away and you will see the difference. Last year does not matter this year.
TD to Int ratio:
Hooker- 13.5 to 1
Bennet- 3.33 to 1
