Nothing. There weren't 4 deserving teams this year in a field of 4. Why are we to believe that there will be 12 in 2024?

I don't understand this. What determines if a team is deserving or not? Just your own personal opinion?

And there never have been 4 deserving teams.
"But muh 3 won muh title last season"... Yeah, Georgia was already one of the best teams in the country and they only fell to 3 to prevent a back to back rematch with Bama in the first round - otherwise they should have been the clear cut number 2 team. frick the politics, rank the teams as they should be ranked and kill this retarded concept known as the playoffs (OSU should have been number 2 going into the 2014 post season as well).
These extra games are useless and (such as last season) further increases the injury risks to your top stars. Losing Williams was Alabama's nail in the coffin last season as if losing Metchie in a conference title game wasn't bad enough. And the sad part is, Williams was lost in a blowout against a team that had absolutely no goddamn business being on the field with Bama.
And to the "but muh players should sit games out cuz muh injury potential" crowd, how in the goddamn frick is adding more games at the end of the season a positive for draft eligible players trying to avoid a last minute injury that could potentially kill their draft stock? Come the frick on...
