Why Grimes? I don't get his hype. Statistically speaking, he has not been that impressive at Baylor. Just go after Riley for fricks sake! It's the obvious choice. Grimes had a few good seasons at BYU because he had a really good QB. Outside of that, he hasn't achieved anything worthwhile. It's not that hard

While we are at it, we should rehaul our strength and conditioning program. Hire Kaz Kazadi. The guy managed to get a bunch of 3 star players to compete at Baylor and now he's done the same at TCU. That dude can turn boys into men.

Agree that he's not the slam dunk hire some appear to make him out to be. But he has some very good seasons at run game coordinator at LSU (1st, 1st and 5th in conference in YPC his last 3 years at LSU from 2015-2017).
Amd I think his approach meshes a little better with Jimbo's nature than Riley from TCU.
And I think there should be some serious concern that Riley has not done anything as OC apart from Sonny Dykes (who is a great offensive mind himself). Not saying he won't be successful apart from Dykes, but it's not a given either.
