New Orleans would win”most overrated” bowl destination in my mind but not worst outright. The food is at least good.

Detroit is indoor and has pretty nice restaurants, cheap flights, casinos and high end hotels.
I’d vote for these options:
Montgomery: cold, outdoor, bad hotels, crime and no real airport
Shreveport: not much happening there and miserable weather
El Paso: difficult to get to and not a great town
Memphis: cold, not much to do, crime
