I really hate LSU’s colors. It’s honestly the only thing I dislike about them because I don’t think I’ve ever met an lsu fan I didn’t get along with. Great people, great food, wonderful taste in beer, but good god purple and gold is just so gay. I will say I liked the throwback gold that you guys wore when fournette was playing. The bright gold with the purple stripes just looks F@ggy to me.

Purple was the most expensive fabric dye in the world and became associated with royalty.

Gold, again associated with royalty.

Green “, the other color of Mardi Gras was out of stock the day LSU first decorated for the football game before the team had chosen colors. The two colors stuck.

It’s a cool story and the color combo is unique in a world of reds, blues and orange.

Purple and yellow are complementary colors, you uncultured swine.
