So no, it's not a good idea to structure any term contract for Caddy. He's got potential, but now isn't the time to throw him to the wolves.
Sorry, but all this sounds like a cop-out.
I'll bet if someone without an agenda asked Cadillac if he could handle the job, he'd say hell yes! And the "he's got potential, BUT..." comment, rings very hollow when realizing how little Auburn could lose against how much good could be accomplished for both the football program, AND any potential social problems down the road for the entire school.
At least it's something that should be discussed behind closed doors at the administration building.

As others have said, I don't expect Freddie Roach to be a top contender when Nick bows out, either.
