No you didn't.
Pad levels have nothing to do with leading with the crown of your helmet, which is the purest definition of targeting.
Now I can understand how all of the arse whippings at the hands of UGA have made you jaded and biased. But to look at that photo and video and come to any conclusion other than targeting is idiotic at best. Even most Tenner fans on VolNation expected to get a targeting call in addition to the called TD. If it was an Auburn QB, you call it targeting. But you're jaded.

You don't have a clue how tackling is taught at the college level.
I played college football.
Leather helmets?
That was one way to keep the defender from lowering his head.
Technique has been different for the past 15 years. Head up. Head across.
I'd be shocked if even a leather helmet player hadn't heard of this.

After Devin White got thrown out vs State in '18 I don't know players tackle without targeting.
By the ever fluid football rules of today I'd say that's targeting.

Go change out your tampon. You pussy. fricking targeting. Just change over to flag football. The suits and pussies like yourself would love it as you drive around in your Prius with your driver seat installed butt plug.

“The targeting rule prohibits players from making forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of the helmet.”
But also allows for incidental cases like the pic shown. If both players are ducking their heads/helmets to make a play that would fall outside of the targeting spectrum if the opposing player hadn't lowered their head as well, then that isn't and shouldn't be considered targeting.
The ball carrier lowered his head to truck the defender trying to break the tackle, while the defender lowered his head to make a technically sound tackle right in the center of the body. It just so happens they both used solid techniques at the same time, accidentally
Should 100% not be targeting, unless you want about 98% of plays on any given Saturday to be called

You’re pretty bold hiding behind your mommy’s computer, Pig Boy. Although you’re probably an Aubie alter due to the venom. Regardless, I’ll frick your mommy and make you watch.

Why are you making shite up.
He is diving for the pile-on.
This is so stupid.

He's lowering his shoulder and helmet in anticipation of contact with the defensive player. The only people who think this is targeting are GA fans. If this was your RB and not Stetson, you guys wouldn't be worked up about it.
Also, not to be pedantic but it's "pylon" not "pile-on" as a heads up. Not trying to be a jerk here. Saw someone write "hall-of-cost" once which is pretty wild.

So he isnt diving and reaching out for the pylon?
He is gearing up to drill the defender in the head? The 190 pound qb
Lol

I'm going off the image which doesn't show any diving. If he were diving, why would he be diving? Because he anticipates contact.
You're out here arguing players should be unhittable while diving forward because you can only hit the head or neck. Or defenders should stand straight up and tackle guys with their chest/legs somehow when the offensive player is fighting forward head down for extra yards.
Come on man stop being a homer.
