This doesn't explain the discipline issues this season. Saban's teams were always excellent at not beating themselves with penalties. The penalties and trash talking are very different than what we're used to seeing from them.

There are deeper issues that are there and are due to losing Cochran and Saban aging and such. I'm not sure we'll be able to fix those, to be honest. But if we have better coordinators this team is probably 10-0 and looks like one of the 3 best teams in the country. The deeper issues are there, but they are absolutely secondary to the glaring red lights that are our coordinator situation.

I'd be ecstatic to get to the point where we are solely complaining about lack of discipline again.
