Florida Gators make big move with On300 wide receiver Terrance Moore

After logging his first-ever visit to Florida, On300 wide receiver Terrance Moore says the Gators are now a major contender in his recruitment.

The Tampa (Fla.) Catholic star received an offer earlier this year and then made his way to Gainesville on Thursday. He recently manufactured a top 13, but it sounds like two schools are grasping his attention the most right now, with one being UF.

“There is one school I visited that completely blew my mind; they are up there with them. I didn’t get a full school tour either, none of that,” Moore said of the Gators. “I only got to see them practice. Well, I did get to see the new facility a little bit. They are definitely up there with that other team.”

While on campus, Moore says there was not much he did not see. The Gators rolled out an in-depth presentation for his family and answered all questions that came in their direction.

Moore had a strong first meeting with wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales as well. He was told UF does not have a wide receiver like him on the roster and that he can make all the catches as a big-bodied target.

“It really exceeded my expectations. It was way nicer than what I thought it was going to be,” Moore said. “The coaching staff is great. Coach Billy Napier, an amazing dude. I got to watch them scrimmage and enjoyed watching that and them passing the ball a lot.

“Also, I really enjoyed when meeting with the wide receivers coach. He showed certain releases, plays, and showed how they translate to the game. I really enjoyed that.”

Circling back to Gonzales, Moore says meeting him was the primary reason why he visited yesterday.

“I saw all the receivers he has produced and really wanted to meet him,” Moore said.

The wide receiver’s loved ones approve of the Gators

Joining Moore on campus was both parents, his brother, uncle and one of his close friends. His mother did not graduate from Florida, but GO previously noted that she is a big-time Gators fan.

“She loved it of course,” Moore said. “She was raised around Florida fans, so she ended up becoming one.”

Moore is not rushing his recruitment

As of now, Moore does not have any of his official visits scheduled. He does not know of any programs that will definitely receive one either.

However, some additional spring visits are a possibility. One of them is a return trip to UF for the Orange and Blue Game. The Gators were hoping to host Moore this Saturday, but next April 13 is the only date under consideration right now.
Georgia, Ohio State, USC, Miami, Clemson, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn, Tennessee, Colorado, Penn State and Pittsburgh are the additional schools in Moore’s top group.

From another board:

Dave from the Doscord is saying keep an eye on Filsaime, Jamari Howard and Kristopher Jones for commits this week.

He is the only one calling for Howard and Jones to pop right now... Filsaime seems to be a given at this point. Which is fantastic news. Ine of the top Safeties in the country. And we need a couple.
