It's not stupid. LSU is a 2 loss team and the committee has picked against conference champs before. tOSU won a championship because the committee picked them instead of their conference champ.

Ohio St. got their arse kicked by Clemson 31-0 in the semi-final the year they got picked for the playoff without winning their division.
