Wow. I would have thought 50-60 percent chance. 77?

AWESOME

We need to keep playing hard and take care of business down the stretch.

Please do. Giving UGA another free win in the playoffs would be great. Basically a first round bye.

I trust the ALFA playoff predictor. It gives Ole Miss a 69% chance of making the playoffs if it wins out and some other stuff happens.

It also says if LSU wins out, LSU’s chances of making the playoff are 55%.

And if UGA wins out, but loses the SEC Championship game their chances to make the playoff are 78%.

So if LSU beats UGA in the SEC championship game LSU, UGA & Tennessee all have a greater than 50% chance to make the CFP. In other words, the allstate playoff predictor is stupid.

538 is a better model when it comes to this stuff.

FYI: it's gives Tennessee a 51% chance of making it if they win out.

Ole Miss: 33%

Alabama: 7%

They need a playoff predictor that will actually let you predict out all of the games from the contenders at the same time.

UT has a good chance to get in. But I don’t think they are leaving out a 1 loss conference winner.

And that includes the PAC 10 Champ, Big 12 Champ, and even the ACC Champ.

Not saying it’s right just that it’s not happening

So what even if by some miracle you do get squeezed into the 4th spot. That means you will get UGA in the ATL. You will be smacked again. Truth sorry.

The calculator doesn't pick the teams, 13 humans do. No one loss non-conference champ has ever been put in over a one loss Power 5 champion. There are rules the committee have to follow, they don't just pick "the four best teams".

UT may get in, but UT fans better brace for the real chance a 1 loss Pac 12, Big 12, or believe it or not, ACC champion jumps them.

Go ahead and laugh, but you are going to hear a lot of "experts" talk about how when we get to a 12 team playoff only conference champs will be in the tops four and how for the good of the sport we need more inclusion.

Let's also not forget that nobody, NOBODY, outside of our footprint wants two SEC teams in if there is any other realistic possibility.

Add in the fact that beating Bama don't look as good as it once did, and you better hope LSU doesn't lose again.

I don't think you are a real UT fan anyway.

It’s pretty simple

SECCG champ is in.
B1G champ is in

Those are the only 2 guarantees

In the irony of ironies, the stinking Vols have to root for Bama to win out. If we stumble down the stretch, it opens the door for USC/Oregon.

The stinking Vols need all of the following

Georgia to win the SECCG
TCU Loss. If TCU wins the big 12 even with a loss they might still be in.
Michigan/Overrated State to be a blowout.

They might also need for Oregon not to splatter opponents down the stretch.

It’s the Mulligan move perfected by $aban.

Win neither the conference nor the division, politic your a** off, get a playoff spot.

Congrats.
