People say this. It's not true. We're as talented as ever. We don't have four 1st round WR's, we're more talented top to botttom at WR than we've been under Saban.

I don’t want to argue past each other because I agree that the scheme is horrific and not maximizing our talent.

That said, who do you think would start at WR on the 2018-2021 teams?

Brooks over Bolden? Sure.

Otherwise these dudes just aren’t separating and don’t do much with it when they do catch it. The freshman have the speed but not the technique yet.

I think we are still hung up on star ratings rather than being realistic about who is on the field. Watching live all season outside of Ark and UT who don’t cover at all there just haven’t been many clean looks.

I mean none of our guys would’ve started for LSU Saturday and other teams have better groups than they do nationally (Ohio State, UT, etc).

So much of this is the product of the route combinations being shite. That diving attempt by Brooks that he didn't bring in was a good example. The throw wasn't great, but if it had been it's probably either an INT or a hospital ball because Brooks ran his route into the same area as another receiver. He had separation, but it didn't matter because he was effectively double covered.

This is where talent comes into play. The only reliable and dynamic skill guy we have is Gibbs. Brooks and Holden probably run 4.65s with the wind behind them, Jojo is a JAG, Latu is awful, and Leary seems to be a bust. Prentice and Bond show some promise, but they're just freshmen and don't know what they're doing. I think getting the ball to Bond out on the perimeter needs to be a priority, but I have zero hope of seeing it happen with BooB in charge.

You don't need NFL 1st round quality wide receivers to be successful. Boob just not good at developing players or the offense. Why can't people understand that?
