When Latu (81) and Billingsley (transfered to Texas) were playing under Sarkisian scheme they were reliable beasts and people were talking about how we had two possible 1st-3rd rounders at TE.
They were always wide open catching balls. In fact everyone was always wide open catching balls.
The next season after Bill O'Brien took over Billingsley was a dud and Latu was never open (even with Jamo and Metchie) and never reliable.
It is amazing how many times it needs to be said but coaching matters. Gameplan matters. Play calling and scheming/adjustments matter.
