That video is well worth a watch.

He was going through everything, and said changes are absolutely coming. He believes both coordinators will be gone at the end of the year.

But he made a really good point I hadn't considered. He was talking about how casual fans don't understand how many people are involved with a program's success - integral people whose names you've never heard, and who don't even have bios online.

His point was that whenever we have staff turnover, a lot of the coaches that leave here are taking GAs and recruiting coordinators etc with them. Basically saying the staff turnover has been really hitting us hard because EVERYONE in the country wants every single guy on staff (maybe not Golding or BoB).

Im sure that probably has a lot to do with the overall changes we've noticed, and why Saban was trying to find coordinators who would stick around for a while and stop robbing his organization of his assembled talent.

He makes some good points, definitely from an optimist perspective. Strongly disagree that nobody would be talking about dynasty being over if the 2 point conversion failed. W or L the downward trend was still there.

Regarding the staff turnover part I partially agree. Can’t imagine how difficult the behind the scenes stuff must be to replace. On the other hand Sabans been dealing with it successfully for years and years why has it become a problem just the last few. Georgia lost its oline coach and hasn’t missed a beat. They lost their dc and most of their starters from last year and dominated a team we gave up 52 points to.

That's exactly why Sark wanted Saban to promote AJ Milwee as offensive coordinator so with that being said by Pate...Nick Saban put himself in this predicament.

AJ Milwee would of been the right guy for the job and he would of developed Bryce Young just like he did Tua & Mac!

I have been calling this since last season and had been insulted for it. Glad everyone is finally catching up.

Bill O'Brien is the difference these last two seasons. In prior seasons we had offensive geniuses hiding Golding's shortcomings.

BOB doesn't and in fact he is even worse so he makes us have to lean on Golding to save us

That idiot has taken apart Alabama the same way he had taken apart the Houston Texans and people were actually defending him while he was doing it. Even his buddy Marrone has damaged our once well know dominant offensive line. We are just starting to develop the talent there. We basically killed a year to two years of player development.

This is all on Saban. You aren't blind. You see what Bill O'Brien is doing. You saw what Doug Marrone did. You have Watch Golding underwhelm for half a decade.

This is all on Saban

I enjoyed his take, I live in Auburn so family and friends are mostly barners. Football talk with them regarding this years team is ehh….

It was good to hear that other people outside of us are seeing it the same way.

That was excellent, thanks for posting.

I’ve calmed down since Saturday and this helped put things in a little more perspective.

I saw that video Pate put on and thought it was a great analysis. I've just recently come to know of Pate and I love his takes. He just seems to grasp the bigger picture of programs and relay it in a way fans (at least this one) would have never thought of.

Due to recent history, I assume Alabama coordinators have at least one eye on the next gig. So much so they fail to identify or prepare for sprint right option.

Staff turnover cost us 2019. Without that turnover, we don't have Lupoi and Locksley running horrific schemes.

And yes, Locksley's scheming was terrible. We ran the same slant play 30% of the time and Clemson abused the hell out of simple playbook in our matchup.
