Tennessee would have to have two losses and LSU would have to win the SEC.

LSU already has 2 losses. If LSU finishes the season with 2 losses, that would mean they won the SEC championship game and either redeemed themselves against Tennessee or beat Georgia.

For LSU to not make the playoffs in that scenario is to say that the playoff committee doesn’t want another SEC National champion.

You are getting downvoted but this could certainly be a road block for LSU.

We may be SEC champs but Tennessee would still have one less loss and a big win head-to-head on LSU's field.

I think the best case scenario for LSU would be to meet Tennessee in the SEC Championship Game. If LSU were to win, Tennessee would still probably have one less loss, but would no longer have the head-to-head advantage. At that point, I think LSU would go over Tennessee.
