fricking this. I don't give a flying frick about the UGA game right now. I'd like to be 7-0 after Saturday, and then focus on getting our 8th win against Kentucky, then we can worry about UGA.

We are a different fan base. They don't understand what we've been through and think that we must think the same way that they do. But what we have been through these past 15 years has changed us (that's why the SEC short on fan re-training for Tennessee fans was so damned spot on and funny). All these teams with fans who constantly look to the 'big' games don't get it. Our focus is on the next game because we know how things can change in an instant.

There were no real expectations this year. We thought maybe win 8-9 games if we could steal a win from UF or LSU. These big games have been gravy for us. Where we are right now is beyond our wildest imaginings (most of us were so beat down we couldn't even pretend to believe in a 10 win season).

Our fans right now are just sitting back and enjoying the ride because this team has already done more than we could have dreamed of but we have seen things go wrong so many times that we aren't overlooking anyone.

Probably because your home/road splits make it an obvious factor for a game at Sanford Stadium.

If you're looking at home and away, why are you overlooking the LSU game?

I don’t think he is…… UT is scoring an avg of 53 at home and 33 on the road.

And the aggregate talent blend is about the same

AL, FL, Akron, Ball St vs Pitt LSU

Even if you just take Bama and UF vs PItt and LSU it’s 45 and 33 and FL and AL are much better than Pitt and LSU. It’s still 12 points. It’s no stretch to say Tenn is 10 points better at home.

But how much of that is due to having cupcakes at home?

The numbers in the post you responded to is Bama/UF vs Pitt/LSU. That doesn't feel like a bad comparison.

What I'm saying is UT could've named the score against Akron and Ball St. I don't think being at home had any impact on those games. We could've named the score if we were playing on the moon.

*But* I do think that TSIO being at Neyland was heavily effected this year. It hasn't mattered every year but it very much had an impact this year. Was it a 10 pt. advantage? I think that's way too high.

Home field is worth 3 to 3.5 points per most bookies and I think that's about right. Pitt was an early game with a lot of kinks being worked out. The offense in that game was nowhere near the offense that showed up against LSU and BAMA.

I get that, but the 12 point number didn't include either of those teams. It was Bama/UF vs LSU/Pitt.

If anything I think the Bama/UF matchups were tougher than LSU/Pitt overall... which would mean the real difference this year would be greater.

And the gambling difference is 3-3.5 point comparing a home game to a neutral site for gambling... which makes it about a TD difference when you compare a home game for you vs a home game for the other team. Upping it to 10 when you have a great homefield (which UT does) isn't that different from the gambling number.

I've been at field level for a rocking home game in Knoxville. The way the stadium rises steeply really brings it crashing down on you. It's quite impressive. Athens is a good homefield, but the simple construction of the stadium for UT is a big plus.

UGA's homefield is more "standard". Our crowds are loud, but the bowl is wider. Not Michigan wide... their homefield is kind of sucky. But not stacked up like UT is either. If we closed in the bridge side it would probably be louder... but I kind of prefer the look of it as it is now.

I'm not. They are included in your splits.
Your home splits are 380.8 yards per game passing.
3.5 passing TDs per game.
12.8 yards per passing attempt.

At LSU
239 yards passing
2 passing TDs
8.5 yards per attempt.

I've said it 2 times already that Tennessee fans are ignoring their home/road splits. You just proved the point. Thank you.

You might be right. On the other hand this is exactly the sorta comment and indignant overconfidence we got from Bama before the game. keep it up...

Yep. I hope they keep running their dkskers. The more they mouth off, the better our chances.

Keep it up, whelps!

Georgia covers this line easily. Tenner had to play a perfect game to beat Bama in a down year.

"Perfect game"

Gave them a giftwrapped scoop and score.

"Perfect"

Couldn't cover anyone.

"Perfect"

If that's your idea of perfect, you must be a KY fan.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Florida beats you guys in a nail biter.

I wouldn't bet any money on that ofcourse, but it would be hilarious considering how much shite you guys have been talking.

Florida is a team capable of playing with anyone if AR is playing up to his potential. Better not overlook them.
