That may fly in the SWC / Big 8 / B12 but I would be shocked if that happened here. SEC wants team players, Uta wants it to all be about them. They kinda remind me of Charlie telling folks he has good taste but Starkist giving him the cold shoulder.

You said UTK > UTA based on mythical natty claims. Using YOUR logic, Minneosota > LSU.

Minnesota

1904 went undefeated (12-0) but the schedule is a bit suspect as they did not play 10-0 Michigan or 10-1-1 Chicago (back when the Maroons were B1G powerhouse. For the age you could make the argument but the schedule would be laughable today

34, 35, 36, 40, and 41 were the Bernie years and he was Bryant or Saban of his age but prior to post WWII and the GI bill they were playing by legit standards of the day but would not be successful after changes in the game after WWII. Hard to understand this today but WWII was such a disrupter in college sports. I mean imagine Tennessee had Neyland not served his country?

Where I have the issue is the 1960 claim when going 8-2 when Ole Miss went 10-0-1 but had the misfortune to be voted down due to issues on campus instead of the playing field. Rebs beat a ranked Hog team in AR and a ranked Vol team in TN. Gophers lost to Purdue at home and lost the Rose Bowl to Huskies of Washington.

In short, Gophers claim 7 but 2 are suspect. They might be more like modern Miami in they were hot for a brief time but have not been able to sustain it after WW II. even if you give them the natty in the 60's they have done nothing in the modern age of football (late 70's that saw the Supreme Court decision and the rise of ESPN)

Fascinating. You got any other answers to questions no one asked?

You’re a special breed of moron. He’s not answering a question. He’s proving that UT-Knoxville was founded well before UT-Austin.

Thus, the first - and bona fide - “University of T” was indeed the one in Tennessee. You lose.

You do realize that only 2 of Tennessee's 6 claimed are AP or Coaches, right? Whereas all 4 of Texas' are.

Different standards

Tennesse is older so success pre WWII, 50's were the shift from end of season to end of Bowl games. Issues on determining Natty had issues till BCS and CFP. I think BCS (best 2) was the most fair and the CFP (best 4) is OK tho it can be manipulated behind closed doors. NCAA at 8 or 16 was good, past that to 32 then 64+ is just a money grab and denies fans of the best championships. I still think baseballs double elimination would be best for CBB but that cow is out of the barn and the sport has been dumbed down for the masses.

How do you view say Georgia Tech and Uta?

Both have 4 claimed Natty's

Georgia Tech did it with 4 different coaches over 4 different eras
Uta did 3 with 1 coach in about a decade and 1 with a modern era coach

Thoughts?

If 6 > 4 then so is 7.

How about being the guy that has the photo saved on your computer/phone and posts it multiple times per thread?

Or the guy that wanted to go to school at said "embarrassing major university" but wasn't smart enough to get in?

Or in your case - both.

NCAA recognizes 4 for Texas and 2 for UT

If you want to go to Wikipedia or wherever UT pulls 7 out of their arse then that’s ok I guess, but then Texas has 9

Shitty point by a shitty school, the color orange sucks and you can argue which shade is worse.

Answer the question X

While you are at it, why don't you explain why you disappeared for three months after A&M Kicked the donghorns out of the CWS. Was the butthurt really that bad? Did it take your vagina that long to heal?

The SEC member the earliest wins. New members have to make a choice distinguishing themselves for those already members.

Thus Tennessee retains their UT

I suggest Texas use UTa to distinguish them from the REAL UT
Doesn't really work well because there is an actual "UTA" that plays D-1 college basketball and baseball. If UTx works for you, that doesn't bother me. Old Aggies call them "t.u." as short for "the university" (which whorn alums always seemed to capitalize, "The University," stemming from their arrogance, and a time when that school in Austin was the only public institute of higher education with the appellation "university" as everything else was a "college").

Yeah bro. The corps is a joke outside of your bubble. Hell, I know aTm grads that hate how such a small sector of the university has become an identity. On TV, it looks like a bunch of scrawny guys with shaved heads that need some sunlight.
