Matt House is a star in the making. I like him in the coaching matchup against Heupel's offense. I think we will be able to get crucial stops and turnovers against their offense. LSU's pass rush is the x-factor. I think they will be able to effect the play of the qb.

Our team gets better as the game progresses. Does Tennessee?

Jayden is not perfect, but he is good enough to enable the offense to score points. Is Tennessee's defense any better than State, Auburn, or FSU? I don't think so.

The game is in Tiger Stadium. Even though it's a morning start time, it will still be loud. If it were in Neyland, I'd be a little worried. I think it will be a close hard fought game, but LSU gets it done. I'm just not that impressed with Tennessee. I'm not convinced that they are who people say they are.

Good question. Tennessee often scores early...but only scored 3 against Florida in the first quarter.

Here is what Tennessee has averaged in scoring by quarter over their first 4 games.

1st Quarter - 10.25
2nd Quarter - 18.25
3rd Quarter - 10.5
4th Quarter - 8.75

So the 2nd quarter is where UT's offense usually starts hitting on all cylinders.

Looking at average points allowed by LSU's defense by quarter you find.

1st quarter - 1.5
2nd quarter - 4.8
3rd quarter - 4.0
4th quarter - 14.8
