MRI machines are a lot more expensive, time consuming, and typically you need to wait until swelling is down a little to get accurate results. Immediate MRIs can give false information in this case.

If I do recall correctly he did fall on the lateral aspect of the shoulder and continued to roll on the Sanders tackle. He initially looked injured at the time because he ran off with the arm seemingly hurt.
