Ole Miss Land sharks, rebel, bears are getting nervous about another coach heading to AU. Ole Miss isn’t a destination job, always a stepping stone. Shitty tiny stadium with pretentious pricks hanging out at the grove.

Problem is a lot of hands are out for that money. Unlike some schools like LSU where they'd let the actually college crumble to fund football, a lot of that money goes to the education side.

LSU outranks Ole Miss athletically and academically. Not sure what point you thought you were making here, but you failed.

Do you not think Ole Miss has wealthy alumni? Auburn- Jimmy Rane's networth is 950 Million. Ole Miss has the Duff Brothers- Networth $4 billion dollars. Jim Barksdale is worth $750 million. Leslie Lampton is worth $2.4 billion dollars. All who donate to Ole Miss. Not to mention the likes of Morgan Freeman, the Mannings, etc. This whole perception Ole Miss has no money is a very flawed statement.

We have some more wealthy alumni. It’s not just Rane…

LSU athletics was blindly cutting a check to the university with its profits and they weren’t putting the money towards crumbling buildings.

Hiring as the university president an advocate of critical race theory that believes mathematics is racist tends to grant you favorable academic rankings in the current year. Congratulations

Alabama alone nearly doubles enrollment than that of Ole Miss or MSU.

Good point. The super boosters usually might help with some facility projects because of the publicity which benefits them but it’s mostly second tier boosters and the massive fanbase that is more involved and makes a difference. Big schools have an advantage here.

He’s actually done great things for the school with a heavy emphasis on stem programs. We’ve also hired Brian Kelly, McMahon, and Kim mulkey since he’s been the president.

We appreciate your interest in a paper our chancellor wrote in the 90s. None of us have any idea who your chancellor is

Trolling you asshats and reminding you that ole miss has never been and never will be considered a university with exceptional wealth is entirely too good to not type up right quick

I know how much pretending to be Vanderbilt means to ole miss

None of us even know who the OP is, whether or not he’s an OM fan, or are agreeing with him. No OM fans are claiming we are some beacon of wealth

Not really

1 Billion to you or me may look like big money but not in the big picture, 1 billion is peanuts compared to say Elon Musk at 250 Billion or the Waltons as a whole (over 200 Billion when added together).

players want to play in programs they believe will develop them and win. No matter how much short term money that’s why players won’t go to ole miss
