Time will tell but I’m guessing it’s due to us losing so much of last year’s (young) offense (3 of the top 5) and the questions around who in the pitcher’s circle can step in to help Montana when needed with Lexi’s departure. To borrow a phrase from Mistaken, I’m nervous.

Our pitching outside of Montana is mediocre at best and Murph has done nothing to address it. I'm more than a little concerned about this season but next season is going to be disaster.

Murph letting Wallace, Sides, Kilfoyl, Goodnight, Bloodworth, and Lord walk out the door the past few seasons is a terrible job on his part.

And his continued reliance on hoping for a dominant pitching performance and trying that slap and dash crap to scratch out a couple of runs to win is not a winning formula anymore if it ever was.

He's been coasting on the lone natty for over a decade and just racking up wins against less talented programs while failing to beat other elite teams when it matters.
