Nobody at Texas is saying "we're back." Nobody has ever said that other than Joe Tessitore in 2016 and Sam Ehlinger as a joke after winning a NY6 game and finishing in the top 10. Truth be told, nobody has ever defined whatever tf "back" even means.
That phrase is usually uttered by rival fanbases to take a dig at Texas. Which is hilariously awkward when you consider many of those fanbases, namely Texas a&m, Arkansas and Texas Tech, have lived their entire existence being Texas' bitch, and have not come remotely close, ever, to achieving what Texas has (in each of football, basketball and baseball with respect to a&m).
Does that answer your question of what the definition is (even though you yourself brought it up)?

We hear about the damned cups every week also? FFS, they are plastic cups, and the supplier prints tens of thousands of them for the game every week. So one week they printed the results of the LSU game. Who gives a frick. They had to print cups that week anyway. Why not make them a fun commemoration of the longest game in NCAA history? Being so upset about it just reeks of insecurity.
