I agree with this.
Plus, I think Arkansas was hiding some of their play for next week (thinking ahead) and them taking Mizzou State a bit for granted and underestimating them.

I doubt Arkansas was holding back any plays.......certainly not 4th and 9.
Just terrible.

All of this. The Arkansas players seemed to come out expecting MS to just lay down and lose due to facing a top 10 team. They had definitely been reading their own press for the last week and thought they could sleepwalk to a win.
Then the Hogs turned the ball over 3 times uncharacteristically, one of them on the goal line on the way to a TD. This gave MS the momentum and put the Hogs in a huge hole to dig out of.
Add the fact that Petrino had this game circled and schemed for it all off-season, he and his players wanted this one bad. BP is still an offensive genius and the Hogs' secondary is the weakest link on the team, anyone with a football IQ above zero knew he'd pick it apart.
We were very lucky to escape with the win last night, I think we got caught flat-footed looking ahead and Petrino capitalized on it by throwing everything he had into this game. Arkansas has a LOT of work to do and I think they'll improve quite a bit from this scare

The fact that we once went for it on 4th and 9 told you Briles was treating this like it was Playstation.
