He largely stunk as a HC at florida. He definitely stunk as a HC at SC. He was great as a DC with texas and AU. He's been great in a limited capacity on our staff. I don't really think ther'es a whole heck of a lot to read into teh situation aside from that. He peter principle'd his way too high, failed, then went back to where he flourishes.

My experience with him at USC was in the one capacity. Why wouldn't that be my issue with him? For such a defensive mind, his defenses were average, at best.
He is the epitome of the Peter principle, to be sure.
