if the game was in pedo valley or a neutral site, I'd take pedo state by double digits

but at JH, all bets are off

I’ve seen a lot better teams go into that damn place and lose

Auburn’s going to be a team that plays way worse than they are some weeks and way better than they are other weeks.

I think Auburn builds an early lead, like 17-7 at halftime, and then hangs on to win 24-21, or something like that. I think you’ll see Auburn come out hot, look miserable during the third and early fourth, and then do enough at the end to win.

I don't know about winning by 10, but I lean toward us winning.

I think it's two pretty mediocre teams and that playing at JHS gives us the edge. Of course, we'll have to play better than last week, and I expect to do so. Auburn pretty regularly has meager showings against poor opponents and then looks considerably better after.

I don't think we turn any sort of corner, I just think we grind out a win over a mediocre team at home.

That type of final is what I'm expecting. Something like the D spoiling 3-4 drives for Penn State to go on top to hang on, with all of us AU fans assuming each one is going to be the nail in the coffin. One of those games where you're tired from watching when the game is over.

Ugh. Sounds like a Gus Malzahn game.

I don't think Auburn has played a consistent 4 qtrs in the same game for 5 years now.

24-20 Auburn.

2:30 sucks. Glad to be done with CBS soon.

Do you really think that 2:30/Mid-afternoon games are going to magically disappear due a change in TV contracts?

No way

I already miss CBS

ESPN quality is trash and we'll end up playing twice as many noon games.

My issue is with CBS and their broadcast/commentators/commercial etc. not the time.

Will Penn State be able to throw?

I don't believe Clifford will have a good game, 2 INTs. AU finds enough offense to win 19-16.

Low scoring game... so hard to bet against the Auburn Magic... but that usually does not work when the fan base hates the coaching staff.

think it is a slog and the better QB wins... Penn State in a close one

It will just be nice to have some of the bigger games be night games again instead of always 2:30. 2007 Iron Bowl was a night game and it was so much fun.

If Auburn acts like little boys…..then they are screwed.

I follow the general consensus here - neither team is anything special, especially on offense, so go with the home field advantage in a low-scoring affair.

Think I said AU 23-20 over on our board. Ugly win.

ETA: just checked, I picked the final at 20-16.

I don’t trust Bryan Harsin to win a big game, he hasn’t shown that he can.

Broke a 30-year losing streak in Baton Rouge last year. Beat Arky handily on the road as well. Took out Lane's Rebels handily as well. 2OT with bammer wasn't a win, but damn.

He had some inexplicable losses last year to inferior teams. That was the issue. But inability to coach in big games -- not the issue.

I think Auburn wins. James Franklin is a POS fraud who is always hyped and nose-dives into a shite finish. We played them last year and despite having a better record, were way less deep and talented and we beat them easily (but it was a boring game). Expect boring with them. The only way they win is if y’all don’t play physical enough and/or turn it over. Give it to The Tank and hit open passes and it’s a W for Auburn in JHS. Honestly can see this being like our game against Auburn last year and Franklin walking out like “WTF just happened?”.

I anticipate a snooze fest. The only thing we can do is run the ball.

Maybe we have some turnovers, but it feels like a slow moving game ahead.
