Nobody thinks it's because Texas is that great. It's because Alabama played poorly.

Oh please....

Not to mention, without help from the refs Texas isn't even remotely in this game. Blame it on Alabama or whatever, but it was either Alabama being sloppy, or refs being bad.

This is delusional happy talk.

You really know how to make a great point.

Did you see Will Anderson lined up offsides on those plays? One of them was on 3rd down and would have ended the drive well out of FG range, and got the defense off the field. Instead, it negated the loss of yards on the play and gave Texas a 1st down. That drive would end up leading to 3 points for Texas.

So again, even if you think the penalty was correct, that was Alabama screwing itself.

Next drive. Texas has some success in the air. Worthy makes a great catch and..get a 15 yard personal foul called on the Alabama defender to go along with it. Penalty isn't a huge deal because it was already on the 3 just moved it to the 1. I assume it's like 1.5 or some shite being half the distance.

Then on the very next play, Ewers gets injured. In this play, Alabama is called for roughing the passer, which was a totally bullshite call. Adding to that, he throws the ball out of the endzone a good bit. Instead of it being about 1st and goal from about the 10 or 12, Alabama gets penalized and makes it first and less than 1 from the goal.

Texas on the previous drive isn't able to punch it in for a TD from less than 10 yards. But on the next play, they go in for the easy run.

10 points, more than half the points Texas scored in the game off these 2 drives. Both the result of extended drives and/or positioning due to Alabama's penalties.

Texas never scored another TD in the game.

Their next FG comes in the 3rd quarter. In which they started the drive in Alabama territory, and 15 of the 24 yards they moved before kicking came off a personal foul from Will Anderson(not sure what he was thinking). So again, Alabama mistakes = Texas points.

Next FG comes in the 4th quarter, but started at the end of the 3rd. Texas moved the ball pretty well, moving about 50 yards total over the drive. However, 20 of those yards came from what? Alabama penalties.

The last FG for Texas is the only scoring drive Texas made that didn't benefit from penalties. And that ended up being a 41 yard FG.

And again. You can say the penalties were good calls or whatever, doesn't really matter. The fact of the matter is Texas only had success when Alabama made big mistakes.

And we aren't even looking at the drive where they missed the FG. In which 30 yards off the top of my head were given to PI. Again, say they were justified or whatever, but the fact remains every scoring drive and potential score drive outside the last one came with lots of Alabama penalties.

And we are only looking at when Texas had the ball. If we want to nit pick, the play prior to the controversial safety or no safety someone from the Texas Student section threw a water bottle and hit an Alabama player. That should have been a 15 yard penalty with Alabama on the 19.

And then on the controversial play, the refs made a call, and then said after "well we made a mistake and I misheard the call" as a means to overturn the part of the play that wasn't reviewable. Do I really care, no because overall I think the play was called correctly in the end. But if you want to talk about what the refs helping someone, it was clearly Texas at that point of the replay review.

There were numerous times when even the Fox broadcasters mentioned Texas getting away with things here and there.

So at best, I would say the major difference between Alabama and Texas this past weekend was Alabama got called for almost everything possible, and then some. While Texas didn't have their shite called basically ever, outside things like false starts.

If you think the refs are going to call games like that in the SEC, you got another thing coming. Again, say it's because Alabama buys the refs or whatever, don't care. Either way, same result.
