I’m concerned the SEC underestimates Texas’ ability to come in and compete immediately. Predictions on this board about the Texas/Ala game now seem silly, in light of what we saw on Saturday. Ala’s team didn’t suddenly change. It is the same team that everyone said was so great. And it may be a great team. It beat Texas by a point with a load of help.

Last year everyone was ready to crown Florida champs in the east because they played a close game with Bama.
Can you spell Gasparilla Bowl?

While I have to admit that I thought it likely that Bama would roll Texas, I also know that Texas has the talent, that if they're fired up for a big opponent, they can hang with anybody.
I've seen it far too many times in the Cotton Bowl in October.

PSA... No one in the SEC refers to them as "Ala".
It's Alabama, Bama, or (preferred) Gumps.

Arkansas says hello, along with a bunch of other SEC teams.
