You are an idiot. The crime situation in Atlanta is a national embarrassment. If you want to talk about cesspools and shortcomings why don’t you start right there. I wouldn’t be putting down any other place when the City of Atlanta is located in the state I live in. Georgia can’t even vote without screwing that up. As far as admitting shortcomings at Indy this past January I would say Bama had plenty. The injury situation did matter in that game. Those 2 WR you are talking about had just absolutely roasted Georgia a month prior. That game was a total beat down. UGA had no shot at winning the SEC title game but Bama had its chances to win the Natty. They just didn’t execute in the red zone. Also we played both games with 1 true RB. All the others on scholarship at the time was injured. Bama had a converted WR and LB as B Robs backups. B Rob was beat to death and played hurt in the SECCG and I don’t think he was very healthy in either CFP games but healed enough and stepped up. I’m pretty sure we had a DB out in both games too. If Georgia had beat Bama in the SECCG and then played again in the Natty and won again you could make a great argument that Bama fans was using injury as an excuse. Since Metchie was out of the Natty game and then Williams going out early in that game it totally changed things. Georgia wasn’t playing against the same team that just smoked them earlier. It changed how the Game was played because the UGA D could just stack the box and play run. The best pass catchers Bama had in that game was a couple of cancers that whined about playing time all year and didn’t step up in the big game when they had a chance to shine. Bama still had its chances and the game was really closer than the final score indicated. Forget the other injuries and just put Metchie and Willams back on the field. Do you think both those guys wouldn’t have made a huge difference in that game? Considering what both those guys did to that all star historic Georgia D a month earlier I think they would have made a huge difference and it’s an ignorant shortcoming you have not to admit it. Look Georgia hit the lottery last year and won the damn title so what’s the problem you have? Enjoy it!!! Georgia played a good game and Bama didn’t step up when they had a chance. They deserved to get beat for playing so poorly. It happens in sports. Every great team is going to lose games at some point. If you do not think those 2 WR would have not made a difference in that game though you are a bigger idiot than you have shown yourself to be with the comment you just made.

No I’m just calling out a elitist dickhead that needs to get his nose out of the air and look at what is going on in his own backyard before he calls out what’s going on somewhere else. You are just a snob that thinks he is better than other people.

I wouldn’t call the whole State of Georgia a horrible place to live because I’m sure there are a lot of good salt of the earth people there. It’s the same here. That’s me though. I may get on here and cut up and talk some trash about another SEC school. I may debate someone or something like that. I may kid around or rib someone but I’m doing it in fun. I’m not being personal about it. I’m certainly not going to stick my nose in the air and act like I’m better than others on here.

Stages of Bama denial:

1) We didn’t cheat! It was the right call!

2) It wouldn’t have made any difference in the game! (They use this one even if it took points off the board.)

3). We beat you since then!

4). We got x number of penalty yards in that game! (The fallacy here is that they equate a false start with a no call that kills what would have been a TD, or a PI in the end zone that gives them first and ten on the three).

So the roughing penalty, which isn’t reviewable, should have stood

I wonder if roughing would have been called since the Texas player that was flagged was ‘7 yards’ away could have easily pulled up if the whistle had blown at the moment his leg went down.

I have no dog in this fight except that I bet on the Tide and was pulling for them to win even after it was obvious they had no chance to cover.

Don’t have to buy anything when the SEC HQ is in Birmingham and a large portion of employees are Bama grads/fans.

It's just a weird line in the sand to draw.

If it was a safety, Texas goes up 12-10 and gets the ball on their own 35 or 40 on the kick. They'd gone 3 and out the previous 2 possessions, so it's not like it was super probable they march down the field and score, and they only scored 1 TD all day so it's very improbable they march on a TD drive.

Instead, we punt, they get it on our 39 and end up getting a first down kicking a field goal to go up 13-10.

Just not a lot of difference in "expected win % change" there.

Was it not called intentional grounding BC the ball bounced off the Texas defender’s helmet? Young rolled over the tackler so he was never down before the throw.

The only way there could have been grounding on that play is if Bryce was taken to the ground. Once it bounced off the guys helmet it done away with a grounding penalty. I think Saban said in his press conference yesterday that Bama had a player in the area anyway.

People absolutely LOVE crying about Bama when we win a close game. A team gets so close to the top of the mountain, and the only reason they didn't get there is because there is some kind of grand conspiracy that keeps Bama there. LSU fans are actually in a permanent state of this. Its quite retarded, and embarrassing.

It's sad that LSU fans have been melting for over a decade instead of learning a lesson most people are taught in Peewee football or teeball: after the game you accept a loss gracefully and admit that the better team (Alabama) won.

This is a situation where the LSU players, some of whom are still teenagers, show more maturity than their fans. Alabama has beaten LSU in 2012 (twice), 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021. LSU players have all been intelligent and classy enough to admit that they were beaten by a better team on those days. I've never heard one of them whine and bitch about a ridiculous conspiracy theory to cope with defeat.

It wasn’t a safety. He threw the ball and the defender swatted it, so it wasn’t grounding because you can’t say for sure where the ball was going

I feel fine about it. Big 12 refs took that game from us, but we won. Wont be the last time it happens while we are in the Big 12. In a way I get it.

I think the real focus is on if we really went toe to toe with Bama, or if they laid a complete egg in an 11am game in a hostile environment against a really talented team that had nothing to lose.

I think the reality is Bama played like shite, and we played inspired football. I hope Sark focused on the way the refs took that game from us during film, so our players can keep that confidence moving forward.

I also think Bama has a habit of starting slow. My guess is if these teams played again at the end of the season, we wouldnt benefit from all the sloppiness they showed.

This - you guys will be fine if you come back from the loss. Last year you were doing well before the Oklahoma game took the wind out of your sails.

If Texas runs the table there's always the chance of a post-season rematch.

Hope so. We'll see. In the past our players have gotten up for big games. We took that LSU champ team to the final bell. Then we just lost focus, interest, intensity, purpose. Whatever you want to call it. Our O/U is 8.5 games. I still have the under, but I feel a little better about getting to 8 games and a decent bowl matchup.
