I don't think it's JUST a small class. Last year, you only had 18 commits. But half of them were 4* and a 5* got thrown in the mix. Arkansas hasn't had a 5* in like a decade when we signed Alex Collins. How many are you expected to sign for '23?

No, this class is definitely a lower average star rating as well. However, the size of the class being smaller does also affect overall rating quite a bit, which is why I said it's a big factor. I'm not sure exactly how many we are expected to sign but I know it's supposed to be relatively quite small.

At 5PM when Reichert is on board, that will make 4/11 commits 4* (with a couple 3* that are expected to get some degree of a bump) and still have a few irons in the fire that look promising to bring the class back up.

That being said, even if we get another 4* or 2 and have a 3* or 2 get the bumps, this class still would fall short of last year's class, but of all the things I will take issue with Drink over, falling a little short the best recruiting class in school history that he himself pulled in last year isn't high on the list.

And one last point... Burden was committed elsewhere, as was Dom Lovett, and Drink flipped them late. Joshua Manning literally had an announcement set up for K-State and Drink convinced him to wait, and he was committing to Mizzou 2 weeks later. I'm not convinced it's over with some of these in-state guys that committed to the blue bloods if Mizzou has success on the field this season.

After tonite, we are going to be at 11 commits, 4 being composite 4*, and Kohl's #2 ranked kicker. I don't know if Mizzou will go more than 15 hs recruits. Ideal world they probably would, but lost on 3-4 higher ranked guys that might have changed that number.
