Florida was shocked when he committed to Miami. Their fans had a nuclear meltdown when it happened. Miami has been playing the NIL game big time with Ruiz. Other than money and location Miami has little to offer right now. They have no true home field advantage, play in a boring conference and their team sucks.

Considering that we already have two of the top cornerbacks in this class signed in Desmond Ricks and Jahlil Hurley, I would be surprised if Cormani McClain would consider Alabama an attractive destination. Would he consider joining a class that already has 2 of the top 4 players at his position?

Think about the situation a few years back with Patrick Surtain jr. and Tyson Campbell. There were from the same school, were friends. But they were never a package, never considered going to the same school, because they were the top 2 cornerbacks in the country (at least I think that was their reason). So Campbell joined UGA and Surtain joined the good guys.

But maybe things are different now, because of NIL being such a huge factor. If McClain has held off signing with the U for financial reasons then maybe there are factors in play that may mean Bama is in fact an option for him?
