I've got a question maybe someone can answer. Since Courtney Morgan's title is General Mgr., and he has been on the road recruiting, will he be an on field coach?

No don’t think so. I think because he doesn’t have a full staff Morgan can go on road and recruit. If I’m not mistaken that’s what someone posted earlier during hiring process

Courtney Morgan's importance to Kalen DeBoer can't be overstated (I'm sure you've already read this about him: LINK). It is my understanding that Morgan was the only staff member actually being with him on the plane when DeBoer arrived with his family in Tuscaloosa. That kind of gives you a picture of what Morgan means to DeBoer and the instrumental role Morgan has in DeBoer's plans as he takes over for Nick Saban.
As was said above, DeBoer's staff is not yet at the maximum of ten, which means that Morgan can - for the time being - do actual recruiting as part of his GM role.
I wouldn't be surprised if DeBoer is in fact intentionally delaying filling the last open assistant spot on his Alabama staff, in order to allow Morgan to make in-person contact with all recruits and possible portal targets. This gives Morgan an opportunity to meet everybody (players, parents, high school coaches, etc.) in a hands-on capacity as he starts building a championship roster for coach KDB.
