Some one then needs to make it obvious that they can take the position away. If they can... Then the exposure for that person (Simpson, Lonergan, Sayin etc) would be enormous. On the biggest platform (Alabama) taking over from a recognized starter and having tons of talent around him.

This whole season has basically reeked of the Hurts/Tua stuff being inevitable in the offseason

Yesterday, I compared the situation to when Kelly Bryant was the quarterback at Clemson in 2017 and had that terrible game in Sugar Bowl against Alabama. The next year he lost his job to Trevor Lawrence. Not saying that we have a Trevor Lawrence on our roster but it could play out similarly. We will see.

Hurts/Tua was a unique and different situation for Saban. Even discounting what happened in the Natty…it was different.
Both were young and separated by one year of eligibility. We had to pick one and “marry” them. Tua was too good to let go.
It’s not a one or the other situation with Milroe and Sayin. Milroe is basically a senior next year and Sayin a true freshman. We can have both basically. Milroe next year and then Sayin afterwards. It works out. This makes going with Milroe an easier choice for Nick next year.
Jalen Milroe will be the guy unless something drastic happens with portal shenanigans(which I don’t see). We just have to hope he develops enough to be the QB he’s capable of being.

Check out my little cousins highlights. Griffin Hanson from Mars Hill. Started varsity since 8th grade… 2 state Championships. Kid is a baller. Took a preferred walk-on at Bama. I coached against him this year and you just couldn’t defend him. Best QB we played all year and it wasn’t even close! Had some offers but the kid bleeds Crimson!

Both Mincey and Hill signed and are announcing at the all star game so there really isn't anything to feel good or bad about either they are already signed with Bama or they signed elsewhere, the decisions have been made.
Nobody is going to just come out and say it as not to ruin their moment but it is pretty clear what happened unless there is some serious misinformation going around.

One of the guys I trust says Hill to Mississippi State. I would be happy with that. He didn't mention anything about Mincey one way or another.
