I for one am absolutely shocked that Rivals would predict Alabama missing on a top target.

Sounds like Gorney is taking a shot in the dark on Hale to Texas. He got an RPM to Texas from an A&M mode so maybe they got some Intel from that most recent visit to College Station. Bama analyst say Hale has gone quiet (which is how he usually is) but they still lean Bama and are digging for info. We will see tomorrow.

thanks Carlton I overlooked. Texas seems to feel pretty good about it.

Jalen Hale, WR, Longview (Texas)

After official trips to Texas, Alabama, and Georgia, Hale took his official visit to Texas A&M over the weekend. There was some hesitation in even taking the visit, with Texas and Alabama the clear front-runners. But Hale told the A&M staff he’d make the trip and wanted to keep his word.

Hale was thrilled to see Texas wide receiver coach Brennan Marion at his game in Lufkin on Friday night. He also noticed UT was the only school to come see him that night.

Hale is ready to announce his college destination on Wednesday, September 21st from Longview HS. Inside Texas will be on-hand for all the coverage.

Things seem to be moving Alabama’s way now. Texas A&M mod picking Bama for Hale.
Great news.

* Bone has also doubled down on his pick for Hale.

Some one over at on3 is saying Wiltfong is leaning Bama now too. Long way to go until tomorrow though. I think a WR group of Hale, Benson and Cole along with the possibility of adding Jaren Hamilton would be outstanding.

He looks really dominant in his highlights. Runs crisp routes, always gets separation, has good speed (4.4 looks like), sure hands where he high points the ball, etc.

Why is he rated so low?

I am not sure. I remember early on 247 had him as a 5*.
