Top two WRs are in 4th year of College each and combined they didn’t have 1000 yards last year. Starting RB could and should be featured, dangerous rushing and as a pass catcher. OL a bit of a mystery. QB is great, when throwing to great WRs and not under pressure, but he’s still very young. Will Anderson is best player in CFB, secondary looked suspect to me, DL always has dudes.
It’s an NC caliber team but who knows about best ever.

Way too early for any of that.
Should be a very good team, though. Still some question marks that won't be known about until we see them on the field (OL the biggest).

So college football is done?

Not sure, did they not tell you?
It has a lot of talent and potential, but some ?s, as well. OL has to improve bigly to even be in the conversation of a Saban era best team.
But, moreover, the team has to gel and play unselfishly if they are to really maximize their potential. Can't afford cancers and divas causing distractions and not putting in the work because they think they have arrived or more deserving than others. That has always been a challenge for every team with stacked rosters. NIL and the transfer portal only stand to exacerbate that issue.
I could see a potential loss and a couple of inexplicably close games between any of Ole Miss, LSU, UTk, or AU.

This and ..I'm still not sold on the coordinators. OBrien and Golding still give me cause for concern

How many quarterbacks look great when they don’t have good receivers and a terry line. Terrible criticism of Young. He can’t catch it for them too.

This is the other big mystery. Last year's team was unable to do anything consistently. This year's group should have a very strong group of returning leaders, but that has to be proven on the field with consistent effort.

You can melt till you’re blue in the face, I do not care.
Your coach is Sabah and you know how he feels about winning 15 incredible games:

This is the truth of it right here.

This is the key. But wide receivers are 2nd imo. Without Metchie and Williams, our receivers got almost no separation. Also, need to see how our running backs look. Feel better about this position though with transfers and young highly ranked recruits.

It’s not clear that he has those this year, was my point. He had great WRs last year…he may or may not this year. His OL is still suspect..it was reasons as to why Bama might not be its best team ever this year. When I said he was Young I was saying maybe he can still adapt and grow, and he was already great. He might need to if Burton and Harrell don’t work out. Burton is immensely talented but seemed to take plays off or give up on routes at times. He was always prone to being “hurt”. Gibbs is a great talent. It’s a good group of players but lot of big changes, especially on offense.

Not sure thats the only concern but if you judge the linemen by how the recruiting services and offers rated them the linemen should be among the best in the country. The line coach last year sucked. I think they will be much better this year
The only real concern to me is LT. If Steen takes the job quickly, as expected, then the o line should be fine. Everywhere else, Bama should be loaded. Definitely have new guys at WR, but they should all thrive in that offense. Defense should be as good as Bama has had in several years.

That’s one thing i like about the way Alabama is doing NIL. What i have heard is that every single player on the team gets the same amount, i think like $50,000 and the amount they can make further marketing their name and image up to them, like it was intended.
By the way any fan can contribute to the collective and it doesn’t have to be much

Not true. We know Young is getting $1,000,000+.
Young inks NIL deal

Defensively, we are returning the best edge rusher in the country, another top 5 SEC edge rusher in Turner.
We return 2 of the top 5 SEC safeties as well as Koolaid and Ricks at corner.
As long as an inside LB and interior DL make some plays here and there, this is the best defense since 2011.
Offensively you return the Heisman,
you add the best transfer RB in the country, you add 2 starting receivers, and you already had some 5 stars on the roster.
As long as the OL performs this is a top 5 offense nationally.
You’re looking at 2019 LSU dominance with the defense leading the way instead of the offense like LSU did.

A buddy of mine that is close to their program said the RB transfer from GT isn’t what they expected him to be (doesn’t have SEC speed, vision isn’t there).
You’re probably right, the All-ACC player and preseason all-American probably won’t pan out behind a better OL and with a Heisman QB to play next to.
And if that happens Bama would be left scrounging for a replacement in a group that only has 3 5* RBs currently behind him.
Bill O’Brien will probably be up late worried sick about his running back room tonight and rightly so.

He's saying everyone gets a base of $50,000 then they can make more on top of that. At least, that was my understanding.

He's talking about from the Alabama specific collective, not outside endorsements.
