In the summer of ‘81, my band played at Denaros back when it was still called Mother’s. We also played The Casino on a semi-regular basis.

I went out with Marcia Darnell a couple of times in ‘81-‘82, before she got married and went into the restaurant business.

fricking A. Reinsert "that is a name I have not heard in a long time" Star Wars gif. I never made it to the Casino as I was too young, but my dad often went on Friday evenings with colleagues and students to play pool. More often than not, he brought home pre-1964 silver quarters he sought out on purpose. He had a knack for paying attention, knowing shite, and doing lots of cool stuff that I only realized and was able to appreciate much later in life, especially after he passed in'97. Thanks for the memory.
