I've always heard that the main reason the game is in Jax from a Georgia perspective is that the most loyal (and some say largest) sector of the Dawg fanbase is in South Georgia, and this game is for them. Jax is closer for a lot of them, especially in southeast Georgia, than Athens is. Also, in late October, more times than not, the weather is still fine for hitting the beaches on the Golden Iles and NE Fla. I've heard that people that own houses and condos on St. Simons and Sea Islands can pay for about 9 mortgage payments during Georgia-Florida week alone. The Cocktail Party ain't going no where.

What about Fl. fans not in NE Florida? They still have to travel.

This is true, also.

The largest block of season ticket holders are from metro Atl and those same folks are the ones that go to Jax and get preferences on those seats.
