UGA - 7 National Titles, 15 Conference Titles, 2 Heisman Trophy winners
according to ncaa.com UGA has 2 national titles.
That's because UGA was the CONSENSUS 1942 champion; Ohio St was the AP champion and is the only poll listed for that year on the NCAA website. As the consensus champion, UGA claims it -- and rightfully so. The other 4 listed are years UGA was voted #1 by one or more NCAA-recognized polls (1920, 1927, 1946, 1968), although UGA doesn't yet claim them. I CLAIM them on their behalf (sorta like what Alabama does)!

You said UGA was consensus #1 in 1942, then you provided a link that shows Ohio State was the #1 team in that year as judged by both the leading polls, AP and Coaches poll.
