From a UGA perspective sure but I mean "making UGA better than under donnan" isn't really a HOF entry ticket.

First SEC title in 20 years. Another one 3 years later. Finished #2 after the 2007 season and came within 5 yards of playing for a title in 2012. Only one really bad season and owned UT, AU, and GT.

Oh yeah, all those are great and part of the rason that I said he was the best coach we'd had. Better than Dooley. I'm not arguing against Richt's accolades or what he means to the UGA community. Just saying I don't think that resume warrants being in the HOF. Now granted, I don't really know what the entrace requirements are. Maybe other guys in the same boat have gotten in in which case yeah let him in. I would just assume that if you don't have a national title you better have a whole lot else going for you

I mean I think you have to factor in he was a major part of the FSU dynasty of the 90s. Head coaching record will obviously be weighted more than his coordinator time, but I think they would still take that into consideration.

I mean Dick Sheridan made it as did Wally Butts... someone who essentially mailed it in the last 10 years of his career and helped GT get to unprecedented heights in the 50's
