If UT didn't have Butch Jones they don't have that insanely talented team.

So.......pick your poison.

Nah, Jalen Hurd and Vic Wharton got the ball rolling on that class and they were committing to UT no matter what. His biggest recruiting win was Kamara, who he proceeded to barely use for the next year and a half. There were a ton of busts in both classes, particularly because the staff just took highly ranked players with no idea how to use them.

I don't think any of UF's hires since Meyer have looked bad at they time they were made. Just like I don't think UF was wrong to fire any of those clowns. It's just amazing to me that a school as resource rich as UF would have burned through so many coaches in that short a time.

I know how to tell when someone only pays attention to their own program when they look at Jones record as sole proof that he was anything other than complete dogshit as a head coach. Funnily they never seem to factor in 2017, which was far and away the worst season in all of Tennessee football history.

Not when Ray tanner is your AD

I meant when we hired him in 2010. Handing one of the better jobs in CFB to a guy with 0 HC experience.
SCar really had no choice after Kirby took the UGA job and Herman backed out.

re: Chad Morris. After signing a multi-million dollar contract, he didn't think enough of the Arkansas job to move his family up from Texas (his boy was playing h.s. football there). When the pigs flew to Colorado for a game, ole Chad detoured to Texas to watch his boy play. Next day, the pigs got waxed by Colorado State.

Any list of bad coaches that doesn't have Derek Dooley near the top is total b.s. That genius Mike Hamilton saddled us with that dud. Hamilton was so unimpressive, no serious coach would take his call, thus Dooley whose only virtue was his last name. If arrogance was a good substitute for competence Dooley would be listed among the greats.

They both were awful but In different ways
Jones could at least recruit and win a bowl game or two.

Doofus was awful in every phase of the game as well as life itself.
