Or as I mentioned in another thread, years back it would rotate E-W and be hosted by the team who won the division. When I was a student in 1983, State hosted the SECT and it was a blast. That was in the ole Dude and my car stayed parked in LFL the entire tournament. Pearl beer was the rage ($3 a case) and we ate like kings. Bama beat us in the championship game. They had a player named Dave Magadan and that was Clark and Palmeiro’s freshman year at State.
Just about everybody has a great baseball facility these days (well maybe not everyone but even Tennessee finally going to renovate).
So why not?

Why not?
Because it's college baseball and bad enough some teams play on fake grass and fake dirt... but baseball is better as an outside sport on real grass and dirt.

Should be in a dome this time of year

Heck no, nothing to be played in Texas. Yall are bums and will have to travel. IT is what it is. The only ballpark that should be considered is the Wahoos park in Pensacola.

Not much southeast about that location. Nothing sponsored or hosted by the SEC should ever be held west of the Mississippi.

Either Minute Maid or the marlins park in Miami.

Does New Orleans have anywhere that isn’t trash?

No, that’s why it’s the worlds best shitehole and also why I moved. Not really ruffling any feathers with that one big dog

Not trying to, I love visiting New Orleans. My liver doesn’t.

Sadly definitely a statement of fact and not an opinion lmao

How about Rider's Field in Frisco? Beautiful ballpark, seats 10,000.

Lol-did not know that was an absolute requirement.
You didn't know it was a requirement to try and pick as central a location as possible?

I’d be all for it, but doubt the rest of the league would want it. Great park.

My only regret is that I have but one downvote to give.

I feel like the people who want it moved from Hoover, have never been to Hoover for a tournament. I love it being there, go every year. Great venue with plenty of family friendly stuff to do. They will finish this tournament just fine, like every year, and people will bitch and moan, but in the end the games will happen.
This year is just an extreme outlier rain delay wise. There are always some delays but nothing to this magnitude.

I would be off work this entire week if that were the case!

Don’t you mean “work remotely” from the park?

The inevitable move to venues west is something that everyone needs to get used to as well.
It will take a vote of all members to do that, and honestly I do not see that happening.
You will just need to get use to traveling
