He announced Dallas as the starter a few days ago. I assume it hasn't changed. He made it sound like he wanted to rest Dettmer, but later it sounded like he wanted to get him a little work to stay sharp. As much as he claims if there's a trophy he's going to win it, he also isn't going to jeopardize being best prepared for regionals. We're not nearly good or talented enough to sweep walk through it. It'll be a grind just like everything we've done this year.

so LSU will be playing their first game, the last game of round 2, tomorrow morning more than likely. That would leave 10 baseball games to be played from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. Unreal

Never going to happen unless they move to 7 inning games. Even then its rough.
Just make it seingle elim. That means 6 games in 4 days. Very doable. Only pisses off DVH.

I almost feel like it's too late for that at this point with round 2 having already started and games having been completed. They should have made that call after the first 4 games when it was obvious this was going to be the situation.

Yep, that's just one more game in the time frame than was originally planned. Would have been very doable

a lot different being able to do that in an 8 team tournament as opposed to a 12 team tournament.

True, but sometime you have to do whats best for the entire conference. The odds of Arkansas changing their fortunes for regionals in my eyes is slim. Their RPI just isn't where it needs to be to host. They'd basically need to run through the loser's bracket to Sunday so even stand a chance.

Very true, but all these games up to this point have been under 4 hours. If we don’t get it played, I say all remaining teams should meet up at Sonic on Green Springs and settle this like adults

Lsu vs Kentucky
Starting at 230 means we should get those three in if no more delays or extra innings
They will play the lsu game as long as it starts before 1030 since they won’t have to play again till late right
