ESPN's Mel Kiper: Alabama football wins national title vs. Georgia if Jameson Williams is healthy

Through the first 12 picks of the 2022 NFL Draft, four wide receivers were drafted ahead of Alabama star wideout Jameson Williams before he was selected 12th overall by the Detroit Lions.

Williams, an Ohio State Buckeye before playing one season at Alabama, was a teammate of Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, who were taken with the two consecutive picks before Williams, at OSU.

Williams was the fourth wide receiver off the board, as Drake London from Southern Cal was taken before the trio of former Buckeyes at No. 8 by the Atlanta Falcons

Various experts at ESPN believe Williams is the best wideout in the draft had he not torn his ACL against Georgia in the 2021 College Football Playoff Championship.

I mean, yeah. Everyone knows this. Doesn't change reality, but still. Commonly accepted fact.

That's why he transferred from Ohio State because he couldn't beat out those two nor Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

He'll get a chance to prove it on Sundays. Looked like a stick figure in the draft video. Sticks get broken in the NFL.

Yet another coping mechanism from A1abama fans. Let’s all forget that he played almost the entire first half and Bama still couldn’t manage to score a TD.

Sounds like a limp wrist excuse to me.

Think all four of those guys have tremendous upside, they all have the ability to be #1 wrs for their respective teams.

I think London combined with Pitts is gonna be good for my Falcons, if Mariota can show signs of life the Falcons might have a good offense this year.

Maybe. We'll never know. It's like saying if all of Georgia's injuries had not happened, Georgia would have won even if Williams had played the whole game. Maybe, but we'll never know. Both teams had a ton of injuries and Georgia won the game. That is what we do know and what is a fact.

However, if you want to live in the world of "what ifs" go right ahead.

Games over, we scored more points. Georgia won...

Kiper molests collies and is less dependable than a weatherman.

They make it seem like this is going to create some chip on his shoulder

WTF kind of sentence is this? It's not even accurate or even english. He was the 4th receiver selected, so there were not 4 before him. And he was picked 12th. So through the first 12 picks, he was picked.

Here we see two Alabama WRs showing the knees UGA would take from them (along with their hearts and pride)

The guy who couldn't beat out Wilson and Olave for playing time is suddenly better than both of them?

The Bama bias is real.

Yea, everybody knew this but he DID get hurt, that's football. Luck was not on Bama's side last year and again that's football. UGA won, end of story. Getting his cleat caught in the seam of carpet does not take away anything.
Miami might (probably) wins in 2002 if Mcgehee doesn't shred his knee BUT HE DID. That's football

UGA would have won by more if they had a better QB. More at 11
